Ebrahim is a cabaret singer who, like other singers of that era, was removed from the scene following the 1979 Revolution. He eventually becomes a singer at various ceremonies, but refuses to be referred to as a 'mtrab' (a term used to describe a singer who performs at parties and gatherings).
